Severn Bridge Pedestrian / Cycle Paths

There are pedestrian / cycle paths along the M48 Severn Bridge. They are well signposted and easily accessible from both sides.

Please be advised that the downstream or south footpath is for pedestrians whereas the upstream or north track is for cyclists/small motor cycles strictly limited to 50CC. Please be advised there are currently and will continue to be extensive maintenance works taking place on the M48 Severn Bridge with a good deal of maintenance vehicle/personnel activity so please be warned of the risks involved and that Severn River Crossing Plc cannot be held liable for any incident /accident involving users.

The cycle / pedestrian paths normally remain open at all times as they are public footpaths and their closure is not under our responsibility.
