VAT Change (28/11/2008)

Please note that Toll Charges have not changed due to the change in the VAT rate. This is due to the fact that the Tolls are set by the Severn Bridges Act and are inclusive of VAT.

New Check Tag Balance Account Facilities Live ! (05/09/2008)

The new online facilities are available, these allow you to view details of your crossings, check your tag status, print statements, download your monthly statements and invoices.

Severn Bridge 40th Anniversary (14/07/2006)

The 8^th September 2006 marks the 40^th Anniversary of the Opening of the Severn Bridge, (the M48 Severn Crossing) by HM the Queen in 1966.

To mark the occasion, on 9^th and 10^th September 2006, Severn River Crossing Plc granted access to members of the public to the Tower Top of the Severn Suspension Bridge. Numbers were strictly limited due to Health and Safety requirements and time constraints.

Severn River Crossing decided that the occasion should be used to give an opportunity for funds to be raised for local charities on both sides of the Severn Estuary. The selected charities are St Peter’s Hospice, Bristol and St Anne’s Hospice, Newport.
